Day 785 – Mid Summer Update

August 20, 2012 –

It’s been a long time since my last post. Okay, a REEEEEEAAALYY long time. What’s transpired?

• Our two year anniversary of groundbreaking (yipee!)
• Sheetrock is up
• Siding is up (unpainted)
• Walls are painted
• Wiring is complete (not all the lights/plugs are in yet, however…)
• Bath title is nearly done
• All plumbing fixtures have arrived
• We are probably 3-4 inspections away from the final

It’s really difficult to describe this all in detail, so we’ll let the pictures do the talking for now.

Finally done with siding, this is the North wall overlooking the porch

In the boy’s room, some of the original hinges were painted, so we cleaned them overnight with a good soak in the crock pot (the kitchen got a new paint job too!)

The master bath shower underway with the pan going in first.

This little guy came along for the ride in the shower pan, helping us pass our inspection, showing “there’s no leak!”
